Development of the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Plan is a 2 year project (15 March 2025 – 31 December 2026) and is undertaken by a team of Lake District members supported by Onterra, our consulting team. This plan is essential in that it guides future steps in control of invasive species in our lake. From a budgetary standpoint, it is also critical because grant providers insist on the presence and maintenance of an approved plan as a condition of receiving grants. This plan will include an analysis of current conditions in the lake as well as gathering of views of all stakeholders in the lake, especially Lake District Members. Members of the project team participate in the evaluation of the plan and the gathering of community insights, via survey developed and conducted.
You can help immensely by watching for your survey in the mail and responding with your input!
