The Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Committee is focused on maintaining the health of aquatic plant environment within the lake.  While the discovery of invasive Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) sparked the initiative to deal with the damaging affects of EWM, the goal is to focus (within the scope of the LMP) on monitoring, analysis, education and treatment to prevent or minimize the impacts of EWM and other potential invasive species before they become a crisis.  Conducting citizen monitoring of key lake characteristics is an important role in determining the impact of long term efforts.  Along with monitoring and evaluating, the AIS committee identifies and directs technical experts in surveying and treating invasive species.
